About
Senior Brand & Visual Designer, São Paulo.
Nice to meet you, I'm Mauricio Filho, a Brazilian multidisciplinary designer and art director based in São Paulo. With a focus on branding and visual identity, I've worked with brands of different sizes and industries across Brazil and internationally.
I grew up in a small town in the countryside of São Paulo. Drawing, collecting magazines and comic books, and paying attention to everything around me were part of my everyday life. Long before I thought of design as a career, curiosity had already shaped the way I saw the world.
Today, I see design as a way to solve problems and create meaning. Aesthetics matter, but they should always be driven by intention. I enjoy balancing strategic thinking with sensitivity to create brands that feel human, distinctive and memorable. I'm especially drawn to projects that aren't afraid to embrace a strong personality.
Research and concept development are my favorite parts of the process. After several years working at branding agencies of different sizes and profiles, I chose to become an independent designer so I could be more involved in key decisions, dive deeper into the process, and keep expanding my creative perspective.
My work combines strategy, in-depth research and visual direction to turn ideas into cohesive brand systems designed to evolve and stay relevant over time.
